Decorinyl commonly refers to a supplier ingredient based on Tripeptide-10 Citrulline. The branded solution percentage is not the same as neat peptide concentration.

Start with two separate fields

Decorinyl is a trade-material name; Tripeptide-10 Citrulline is the cosmetic ingredient identity associated with it. A finished formula may contain the branded supplier solution, which includes carriers and preservation, rather than neat peptide.

The percentage needs a denominator

“Five percent Decorinyl” can mean five percent of a commercial solution whose active peptide concentration is much lower. A technical file should state trade-material addition rate, supplier specification and calculated active-peptide content separately.

Mechanism language is not clinical proof

Decorin-related extracellular-matrix claims are often used to explain the ingredient concept. A mechanistic rationale does not establish wrinkle improvement in every vehicle. Finished-product evidence must preserve formula, concentration, duration, comparator, blinding and measurement method.

Analytical note

Citrulline-containing short peptides can present weak UV response and difficult chromatographic retention. Method suitability, recovery from the cosmetic matrix and interference from preservatives require demonstration.
