Noopept is N-phenylacetyl-L-prolylglycine ethyl ester. It is derived from a proline-glycine motif, which explains its frequent appearance in peptide and nootropic catalogs, but it is not a conventional oligopeptide with a free amino-acid chain. “Dipeptide-derived compound” is the more informative label.
Why the distinction affects testing
